About us

The Salt Spring Baroque Music Society is a non-profit organization founded by bassoonist and baroque music lover Kerry Graham.  The Artistic Director of the Salt Spring Baroque Music Society is Marco Vitale, a world-renowned harpsichordist and early music specialist.

The purposes of the Society are:

  • To advance the public’s appreciation of the arts by providing high-quality artistic performances and concerts in public places in the Gulf Islands and surrounding areas.
  • To advance education by providing instructional workshops and seminars on Baroque music to students and amateur musicians of all ages.
  • To carry out activities ancillary and incidental in furtherance of the above charitable purposes.

Our projects include chamber concerts, on-line recording projects, collaborations with other BC artists, and educational opportunities such as workshops, lectures, coachings, and masterclasses.
